HIV/AIDS Skepticism

Pointing to evidence that HIV is not the necessary and sufficient cause of AIDS

Los Angeles Times supports AIDS Rethinking

Posted by Henry Bauer on 2009/08/22

Brent Leung’s documentary, “House of Numbers”, was reviewed in the Los Angeles Times, 21 August, p. D14, by Gary Goldstein. It was good to read the following:

“impressive range of interviewees, whose contradictory positions on HIV/AIDS become the project’s raison d’être. There’s no denying . . .  the value of exploring such game-changing topics as how HIV-infection numbers are cooked for monetary and political gain; how the effects of global poverty may have led to so many AIDS-related deaths; how such widely used AIDS drugs as AZT have, themselves, often proved fatal; and whether HIV really exists.”

One doesn’t know, of course, how many readers will come across this item, but the LA Times has a current circulation of 3/4 million, so this represents nice exposure for  HIV Skepticism and AIDS Rethinking.

Hi Dr. Bauer, I wonder given Gary Goldstein’s positive review (to the AIDS Establishment, if it isn’t negative it must be positive), that some honcho in the AIDS Establishment like a Pharmaceutical marketing exec might pressure the LA Times to fire Goldstein by threatening to withhold advertising, which in today’s economic environment is a dwindling commodity for the press.

Martin: I don’t think Goldstein is just an employee of LA Times, see http://www.linkedin.com/pub/gary-goldstein/8/46b/557. I doubt that Pharma people bother with such things, it’s just a few fanatics like Wainberg and Moore who try to get people fired. But their goal is to keep AIDS Rethinking out of the news, and in this case the horse — the review — is already out of the barn. I suspect they will not wish to arouse the public attention that would come from attempted retaliation, and they certainly don’t want any more publicity for Leung’s documentary. As it is, they will soon find their censorship attempts being exposed to much light.

I remember when the religious right tried to ban the photographs of Robert Maplethorpe (quite unrelated to Leung in content). That publicity was the greatest inadvertent advertising coup for a dead photographer. I agree with your observation.

  2. Interesting you should bring up Robert Mapplethorpe. It’s widely believed he died from complications arising from HIV/AIDS in 1989. I bet it could be speculated that it’s more likely as a result of AZT poisoning.

  3. I hope the L A Times journalist will do a lot of homework in understanding where the Core of the HIV and AIDS argument is.

    i think a few things

    1. HIV does not exist, why was it forced to exist, so much that alteration had to be made to validate the scientific findings of HIV.

    2. Toxic medication have been used on million as a combat for HIV which in reality did not exist. why? there are other ways of addressing the ills in society than killing of society. i see this as punishment for some of us since, HIV is associated with certain behaviour or association. it is one of the ills that if you tested positive to , you would b a laughing stock. People with AIDS are given toxic pain killers to keep them drugged, and nothing really remedial is done to address the current issues the patient is complaining about. i have seen this happen many times, anyway when it happens to me i am like a spitting cobra, i remind you of the ethics of medicine, i don’t know them but, the best to be done for a patient must be done, medicine is not in any away supposed to take life, rather medicine must save life. this sis all i know and i this its, the best i know.no one messes with a spitting cobra, it never misses.

    3. Why has it taken another group of scientists to try and rectify the information. it should have been the ones who founded the HIV to rectify the matter.

People who have had a positive test, are given the worst death sentence any on could get. Guilt.

YOU GET GUILTY ABOUT EVERY THING AND WITH THAT ONLY DEATH HAS ALREADY OPENED THE FRONT DOOR, AND INVITES ITSELF IN.

ANY ONE WILL DIE FROM THAT ( NOT BECAUSE ITS A DISEASE BUT THE INFORMATION THAT COMES WITH THE 3 LETTERS OR 4 LETTERS FOR AIDS, IS A KILLER ON ITS OWN), ESPECIALLY IF IT IS TOLD TO THEM BY A DOCTOR. H.I.V has had the biggest publicity and RESPECT than any of the great men who have existed ON THIS EARTH.

I said this one time in RSA. JUST THREE LITTLE Letters H.I.V

Exactly! Brent Leung could not have said it better.

Ann Rynd: Yes indeed. Authors and film-makers and other creative individuals do cherish it when INDEPENDENT reviewers WITHOUT CONFLICT OF INTEREST find their work praiseworthy; in the present instance, lack of conflict of interest means not vested in the mainstream dogma of HIV/AIDS and therefore able to view the film without cognitive dissonance.
